Speaking in-person with writers and filmmakers all over the country is one of my favorite ways to truly connect. Sure, social media is a wonderful way of meeting people who share your passion, but there is nothing like coming face-to-face with someone to cement that friendship into a lasting one.
Since I can’t be everywhere all the time, I decided to share some thoughts I’ve expressed at conferences and universities that have resonated with our community.
As the months go on, I’ll bring you Jeanne’s Vlogs.
If you’d like to schedule a personal appearance for your group or organization, or if you’d like a personal “Screenwriting Therapy” consultation, simply email me, and we can make it happen.

Brilliant Jeanne. Your words are spot on , heartfelt and thoughtful. As a writer I experience those times of doubt and fear. I love how you gave up fear as opposed to chocolate!! very simple but what a great idea and a great tool to use. I felt like you’re talking directly to me and about me. Really awesome stuff. thank you hon
Jeanne
The reason I watched was NOT to see you in your PJ’s.
Honest.
But since fear has been my greatest adversary… I appreciate your words of wisdom.
And your PJ’s.
But I digress.
Moving to L.A. without a safety net was putting fear aside and going for it. As we build our “Internetwork” of CGI web series while pushing our writing in the general direction of the shot callers, it has become a satisfying experience.
Even more so, I won’t die in a job I hate… surrounded by people who are either giving out stabs in the back or not appreciating my contributions.
Thanks, Den Mom.

p.s., only you can ROCK those PJ’s
I’m very proud of you, Dwayne, and I can’t wait to see the birth of the web series!
Hi Jeanne,
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with us on the meaning of success for you as a writer.
I feel the same way, for me, it’s the fun and sheer joy I have in coming up with an idea out of the blue, creating characters, doing the research and getting the words down on paper, to create my screenplay….this is success to me, because I’m using my talents that God gave me, and when I sell my first screenplay, that will be the icing on the cake! 🙂
